BREAKING: Sanjay Dutt Diagnosed With Aggressive Lung Cancer; Superstar Announced A Short Break For Medical Treatment
Sanjay Dutt was hospitalised on August 8 after complaining of breathlessness; congestion and unease in the chest. Upon admission to Lilavati Hospital, doctors diagnosed him of having a lower than normal oxygen saturation level. As per latest medical protocol, a rapid-antigen test was performed on the actor to rule out Coronavirus. The result came negative, and the following day, a swab test was conducted. The result of this test reaffirmed that Dutt had not contracted Coronavirus. The Sadak 2 star was discharged after having been under observation for two days.

Now, as per latest reports, Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer. It is believed that the cancer is an aggressive kind, which suggests he could require immediate medical attention. Sanjay Dutt also took to his social media accounts to announce taking a short break so that he can focus on his medical treatment. His post read, "Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well wishers not to worry if unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon".

Dutt has a history of cancer in his family. His mother, superstar Nargis Dutt, had succumbed to pancreatic cancer, back in 1981, just 3 days shy of Dutt’s big silver screen debut in Rocky. The 61-year-old actor has not been able to get over her loss till date. It is believed he was especially close to her.

Dutt’s father, Sunil Dutt, had succumbed to a heart attack in 2005, he was 12 days away from celebrating his 76th birthday when he breathed his last. It was Sunil Dutt who had launched the Nargis Dutt Foundation in 1981, in New York, after his beloved wife’s demise. Sanjay’s sister, Priya Dutt, is actively involved with the foundation till date, now that it has an overwhelming presence in Mumbai.

Dutt has been staying apart from his wife and two kids because of the lockdown. Maanayata and the twins have been in Dubai for the last few months and the distance has been hard on the family. Coming back to the superstar’s health, Team SpotboyE wishes Dutt a speedy recovery. We hope god gives him and his family the strength to sail through this difficult time.
